Progman hosted the first BAUHAUS goes BIM manufacturer event for the DACH region in the city of Weimar in Germany on September 7-8. The event was well received, with excellent attendance from German, Austrian and Swiss MEP component manufacturers.

The first day featured a series of key notes on Building Information Modelling (BIM) by professors from the Bauhaus University of Weimar, a number of MEP manufacturers and selected BIM experts and a pleasant evening of free-form discussions between the manufacturers, delegates and Progman’s specialists and management.

The second day’s workshops provided a forum for active discussion between the participants, exchanging ideas related to BIM as well as information sharing on open issues and wishes regarding future MagiCloud development. The event closed with insights into Progman’s BIM strategy and into some of the latest research from the University.

Based on the feedback from the manufacturers and delegates, the event provided a tremendous amount of interesting inputs and efficient knowledge exchange regarding the development of BIM technologies. Progman wants to facilitate this kind of dialogue and information exchange among companies and other parties engaged in Building Information Modelling also in the future and the event will see its next installment already next year, in 2018.
